Letter from His Majesty's Commission of Works to Lord Chalmers, President of Royal Asiatic Society, agreeing to host a luncheon by the Government Hospitality Fund for 100 people on 17 July 1923 to celebrate the Centenary of the Royal Asiatic Society. A further handwritten note informs that Mr Beare called at the Royal Asiatic Society on 27 April and met Lord Chalmers. The Government offered a lunch for 100 guests at the Ritz or Claridge's. The letter is loose within the book.
