Letter from Sir Harold Bailey expressing his gratitude for being made an honorary member, with copy outgoing letter stating that his annual subscription would be waived, dated 15 December 1966–30 January 1967. According to the printed lists, however, Sir Harold Bailey did not appear to have been elected as an Honorary Member. He had served on the Council but remained an Ordinary Fellow of the Society.

Letter from Christopher C. F. Naylor enquiring whether the Society has the original of the portrait of his great-great-grandfather (Henry Thomas Colebrooke) that he inherited from the family. With copy outgoing letter from the Society replying to him, and a further letter from Naylor stating that he has been shown the bust of Colebrooke in the Society and his wish to apply for membership for himself, as well as giving details of his professional undertakings in the field of Sino-British trade. Dated 5 February-9 March 1994.
