Gibson, Secretary of Royal Asiatic Society, to Dr Ahamad Hussain to give details of the Gold Medal and the Burton Memorial Medal but to inform him that the Society does not usually receive applications. However, the Council were keen not to overlook research of which they were unaware. Could the author therefore either provide a copy of the book or tell where it can be consulted in England.
