The first £500 of a total grant of £1000 made to defray expenses of the publication of Colonel Rawlinson's work on Cuneiform Inscriptions has already been paid (9 August 1851) and as the total paid out now exceeds £661 (with more to come) the final instalment of £500 is requested.
