Copy of a letter from Brian Houghton Hodgson to Sir Rutherford Alcock in which he talks of meeting Alcock at a mutual friend's, Dr Jackson, and their conversation on matters such as Nepal and Pekin. Hodgson would like to talk with Alcock cnocerning the Russia situation and writes when he will be available after his visit to Dr Hooker at Kew. Hodgson writes about the possibilities of trade between the Himalayan countries and China. Handwritten (not in Hodgson's hand), 8 sides, dated 10 March 1873.

Letter from Rutherford Alcock to Brian Houghton Hodgson to say that Alcock would be glad to see Hodgson on either the 13th or 14th. Hodgson notes on reverse that he saw Alcock at Kew and wrote to him on his return to town. Handwritten with printed letterhead, 2 sides, dated 12 March 1873.

Letter from Rutherford Alcock to Brian Houghton Hodgson in which he writes that he has read Hodgson's Papers but will not yet return them as he wishes to become more familiar with their contents. He writes about Geographical Lectures of the British Association at Bradford and looking for contributors to give papers. Handwritten with printed letterhead, 3 sides, dated 10 April 1873. With accompanying envelope annotated by Hodgson.

Letter from E.L. Brandreth to Brian Houghton Hodgson in which he writes that he will send the Papers once they are printed; meantime he wishes to show Hodgson his map on which he would like Hodgson's opinion. Brandreth therefore invites Hodgson to lunch. Brandreth's wife sends Mrs Hodgson her regards and asks that she will accompany Hodgson to the lunch. Hodgson has written on the blank side of paper some notes regarding Russia and Tibet. Handwritten, 4 sides, dated 5 March [1873].

The meeting of the 8 November 1979 concerned increasing the subscription rates for Fellows.
