The 17th International Congress of Orientalists, fixed to be held in Oxford in 1915, was abandoned due to the First World War. In September 1919, Orientalists, principally from the Royal Asiatic Society, Société Asiatique, American Oriental Society and Scuolà Orientale - R. Università di Roma, with representatives from other nations, gathered to discuss the future of Oriental Studies. This was hosted by the Royal Asiatic Society and included a series of lectures, various receptions including a visit to the British Museum and to Kew Gardens, and culminated with a Banquet held at the Imperial Restaurant, Regent Street, on Saturday 6 September. The allied papers iconsist of printed material and newspaper cuttings concerned with the Joint Session of the Royal Asiatic Society, the Société Asiatique, American Oriental Society and the Scuola Orientale-R. Università di Roma hosted by the Royal Asiatic Society, 3-6 September 1919.

Brian Houghton Hodgson" written by Barthélemy Saint-Hilaire. This article is about Buddhist drawings and paintings donated by Hodgson. Printed journal with some annotations by Hodgson, 1 item, dated February 1863.

"Journal des Savants: Mars 1863," in which is the article, "Dessins et Peintures Bouddhiques: offerts à l'Institut impérial de France par M. Brian Houghton Hodgson, Deuxième et Dernier Article", written by Barthélemy Saint-Hilaire. This article is about Buddhist drawings and paintings donated by Hodgson. Printed journal with some annotations by Hodgson, 1 item dated March 1863.

Letter from C. Templey, Account Executive, Stephen Austin and Sons Limited, to Dr Bivar, Royal Asiatic Society, concerning the binding and production of the special edition of the journal in honour of Mortimer Wilson. The company is now ready to do the final proofs and wish to know about the binding and lettering required for the two specially bound copies. He also acknowledges receipt of the Society's Annual Report. There is an annotation, in Bivar's hand, to ask Diana Crawford, Secretary, Royal Asiatic Society, to file the letter and ensure the proofs are received in the next ten days. The note is dated 22 March 1972.

"Journal of a Mission from the Supreme Government of India to the Court of Siam" covering the dates 18 December 1838 - August 16th 1839. The Journal is incomplete. The journal gives accounts of the journey, the places at which Richardson stopped, and of his time in Bangkok. Not every day is represented in this account, and there are edits and annotations on the journal, possibly in a different hand.

A journal containing detailed lists of compass bearings from various locations in India. The journal is untitled and bears no name of its author. It measures 35cm by 24cm with a brown cardboard cover which has become detached from the pages.
