Wilson having died, it is requested that the Society's stock amounting to £1806.19.5 be transferred to the new Trustees, Lord Strangford and Sir E. Colebrooke both of London. (Found on page 283)

Redhouse, Secretary, to Charles Knapp to inform, that having seen from one of Sotheby's catalogues that Mr Morley's books are up for auction, that some of these books were borrowed from Royal Asiatic Society library and should be returned. Also Morley was in arrears with his subscription and it is hoped that these arrears can be paid out of his estate. (Found on page 285)

Letter from James W. Redhouse, Secretary, to J. Muir concerning Mr. Muir offering a prize of £300 for best history of the Vedanta System. The money will be deposited at the London and Westminster Bank with three members of the Royal Asiatic Society acting as trustees. Mr Muir's name will also be added if he approves of this. Within one of the volumes is a letter from The Registrar of Friendly Societies requesting 3 copies of all the laws, rules and regulations of the Society in order to provide certification for the Society's premises, 1 piece dated 2 June 1947. Also within this pamphlet is a copy of the certificate, dated 23 July 1947, entitling the Society to the benefit of the Scientific Societies Act, 1843.
