Part of Papers of the Gibb Memorial Trust

Letter from Vladimir Minorsky to C.A. Storey to inform that Heffer are going to print 500 copies of his book but he remembers there were more than 1000 copies of the translation. He wonders whether the Trust would consider publishing cheap copies of the translation without the Persian text? If this is not possible he asks that he could have 100 copies of offprints.

Letter from Vladimir Minorsky to C.A. Storey in which he writes that Professor Nicholson had informed him that Storey was likely to be the trustee-in-charge of his work on Safavid Administration. He asks whether Storey would be willing to look at his translation before he sends in the manuscript. This is to be printed before the rest but if Storey hasn't time they can speak of the matter once the galley proofs are ready. He also asks if Storey knows how he can find the description of Shah Ismail's Diwan marked Vat(ican) turc.221.

Part of Papers of the Gibb Memorial Trust

Letter from Vladimir Minorsky to C.A. Storey to further explain regarding his request for offprints which he would supply to his friends in Russia and out-of-the-way places like Turkestan, Baku and Tiflis. He would also give them to economists and general historians unlikely to become the Trust's customers. He is willing to supply the list of those he wishes to send the offprints to, in order to allay Storey's concerns about potential loss of sales.
