The Papers of Horace Geoffrey Quaritch Wales contain papers relating to his archaeological work in southeast Asia including expedition notes, personal notebooks, diaries, manuscript proofs, correspondence, newspaper cuttings and maps. Listed within this catalogue are objects and items of furniture which were also part of the bequest of Quaritch Wales' wife, Dorothy, to the Royal Asiatic Society.

Letter from Niranjan Prasad Chakravarti, Government Epigraphist for India, to Quaritch Wales concerning the translation of the inscription discs found in Kedah which mention the name of Boddhisattava Samantabhadra. He refers to the reading made by John Allan in the letter on 17/03/1939. If it is right, the inscription on the silver bowl could be Kasyapa (in Prakit termination). The script of the records is South Indian and the language is Sanskrit.
