The Papers of Horace Geoffrey Quaritch Wales contain papers relating to his archaeological work in southeast Asia including expedition notes, personal notebooks, diaries, manuscript proofs, correspondence, newspaper cuttings and maps. Listed within this catalogue are objects and items of furniture which were also part of the bequest of Quaritch Wales' wife, Dorothy, to the Royal Asiatic Society.

Letter from Jean Philippe Vogel to Quaritch Wales in reply to Wales' letter on 7 July 1938 with the suggestion that Wales send another set of the photographs of [Buddhist] inscriptions to Dr. N.P. The letter thanks Quaritch Wales for the set of photographs of Jakuapa and of the inscriptions revelaling that the language used is the same as all early Sanskrit inscriptions found in "further India and Indonesia". He asks whether Quaritch Wales has read. 'Expansion of Indo-Aryan Culture During Pallava Rule'. Handwritten letter, 2 sides, dated 28 August 1937.
