Signed minutes of the Finance Committee, 1965-1977, 1979-1980. The typed minutes are pasted into a hardcover ruled notebook with black cover and red binding. This is labelled as "Finance Committee (incorporating Investment, Possessions and Development Committees)". With this minute book is some correspondence:

• Correspondence concerning Membership and subscriptions, 15 items, dated 21 May 1965-23 September 1965.
• Correspondence concerning investment as a charity, 3 items, dated 6 March 1967-10 March 1967.

Minutes, notes and correspondence concerned with the Investment Committee that was set up by the Council in September 1981. These are:

• Notes on a conversation with Dr Ware regarding power of the Council to invest the Society's money. Signed by G.A. Calver, dated 24 September 1980.
• Royal Asiatic Society: Investment Policy, dated 12 March 1981.
• Letter from G.A. Calver to Eric Southall to state that at the last Council Meeting it was agreed to set up an Investment Committee of these two plus Simon Digby, dated 8 September 1981.
• Letter from Eric Southall to G.A. Calver to state that he would be willing to serve on an Investment Committee, dated 12 September 1981.
