Grant Duff to Brian Houghton Hodgson in which he writes that he read with interest Hodgson's letter of the 21st and that after showing Hodgson's first letter to Sir Rutherford Alcock has forwarded it to the Viceroy. Grant Duff writes that Mr Cooper is no longer in England. In a postscript W.N. Hunt, Private Secretary, adds that all the copies of Mr Dalton's book have already been distributed.
