A Bhojpuri rāga song known as the Morang song referring to an expedition to Burma. English title says "Moran song: on the expedition to Burmah land sung at Nepal Durbar, Feb [5] 1830. Handwritten in Bhojpuri, dated February 1830.

"A cursory Notice of Nayakote By B.H. Hodgson, Esq. Resident at the Court of Nepal". Two copies of an unbound offprint from Journal of Asiatic Society of Bengal, 1841, concerning the Valley of Náyakόt and the Awalia people who live there. Few annotations by Hodgson, 12 pages, uncut, dated 1841.

A List of Lists. One side of paper has a list of 9 different lists pertaining to Hodgson's possessions. On reverse are various titles pertaining to lists and dates ranging from 1854-58. Handwritten, 1 piece, 2 sides, 1854-1858.

Advertisement for the publication by subscription of "Hodgson's Zoology of Nipaul". Two copies, both of which have been annotated by Hodgson. Prospectus was published in 1837 but the book was never published. Printed leaflet, 2 items.

"Architectural illustrations of Buddhism." Paper by Hodgson which begins "During the time when I was engaged in discovering, procuring & testing the general character of the literary monuments of Buddhism in Nepal, I was likewise employed in accumulating architectural and sculptural illustrations of the same creed..." He proceeds to list the drawings that he is about to present to the Institute of France and continues to write about the "general character of the sacred edifices of Buddhism in Nepal. There are two copies of this paper - a first rough draft in Hodgson's hand and a fair copy by S H entitled, "Architecture of Buddhism to French Institute Sept 1857 N.B. Annie took it home Nov 10/57. Delivered to the Institute 16th January 1858. through the British Embassy at Paris by favour of Lords Cranworth & Clarendon. To Müller July 22 the fair copy & drawings. "Bird Drawings Jan 31, 1845". List of the drawings of different species of birds and the number of those drawings. Further list of drawings of Mammals. Note to inform: "Left at Darjeeling Decr 1852 in chest of drawers". Handwritten, 1 piece, 4 sides, dated 1845-1852.

"Buddhist Explanation of the symbols found on the coins & inscriptions of various ruins in the plains of India." Rough copy of List and explanation of symbols by Hodgson. Note on back: To Col Sykes Jan 21 1847, to Roy Asi Socy Sept 28/60. Handwritten with pencil diagrams, 1 piece, 4 sides, dated 1847.

"Classified Catalogue of B.H. Hodgson's published writings, where and when published." The list is divided into 10 different subject headings and covers Hodgson's work up to 1858. Handwritten, 7 pieces, 14 sides, undated [1858].

"Commerce with the countries north of India". A paper written in reply to one given at the Society of Arts by Sir Douglas Forsyth on the possibilities of commerce with Sikkim, Nepal and Tibet, in which Hodgson points out his previous attempts to raise this issue and his opinions on the subject. Handwritten, 2 pieces, 7 sides, undated [1877, see BHH/5/41/1].
