This is a typed manuscript of Nelson's book Fort Jesus of Mombasa. He first went to the Fort in September 1986, so the manuscript will have been written sometime between this visit and his death in 1993. The manuscript contains colour photographs, diagrams and an index. 240 A4 sheets.

These Personal Papers consist of the typed manuscript for Nelson's Fort Jesus of Mombasa including colour photographs. There are photocopies of a letter sent by his daughter and of Nelson's Obituary in the Aberdeen Grammar School Magazine.

A photocopy of a letter from Sarah Nelson, Freelance Journalist, to "Raj" to send a couple of copies of her father's book and asking if the recipient could find an outlet for them. She gives some details of her father's life, in particular that all his writing was undertaken after he had retired. Photocopy of handwritten letter, dated 18 August [2003].
