Typed material with Royal Asiatic Society letterhead, undated. Attached to the letter is a newspaper cutting from the Daily Telegraph to state that Professor Beckingham had given a lecture, before a reception to celebrate the 160th anniversary of the Royal Asiatic Society at which D.J. Duncanson, President, had received guests including the Ambassador of Thailand, the Earl of Cranbrook, the Earl and Countess of Selkirk and Dr Michael Tweedie. Dated 11 March 1983.
