- "Afternoon Party of the Royal Central Asian Society in association with the Royal Asiatic Society, the Anglo-Arab Association(1961), the China Society, the Iran Society, and the Middle East Association, to be held at Hurlingham Club, Fulham, S.W.6 from 4 to 6.30 p.m. on Wednesday 17 July 1963." - Letter from Sir Gilbert Laithwaite, former Chairman of Royal Central Asian Society, to Charles Beckingham, Royal Asiatic Society to ask his advice on an enclosed letter from the Commonwealth Office to the Royal Central Asian Society. Typed with printed letterhead, dated 3 September 1968. With the letter is a copy of the Commonwealth Office letter to Sir Esler Dening, dated 10 May 1968.
- Letter from Sir Gilbert Laithwaite, former Chairman of Royal Central Asian Society, to Charles Beckingham, Royal Asiatic Society, concerning the possibility of a closer working relationship between the two Societies. Typed with printed letterhead, dated 31 October 1968.
