Leather binding with metal clasp. The book's binding is broken and some pages are loose. Care must be taken when using this item.

The series consists of 35 letters, mostly from Campbell to Hodgson, mainly ordered according to date, following the sequence of a previous listing.

A set of 11 letters between the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures & Commerce and Brian Houghton Hodgson concerning a delegation involved with advocating for trade routes in the Himalayan region. Dated March - April 1873.

Cutting from The Academy with book review for the "History of the Indian Administration of Lord Ellenborough in his Correspondence with the Duke of Wellington, Edited by Lord Colchester". Hodgson has added his own title. Dated 2 May 1874.

Cutting from the Journal of the Society of Arts with article entitled, "The Internal Trade of China" concerning trade routes into China through the Himalayan routes. Hodgson has added a title and annotations. Dated 26 February 1875.

Cutting from The Times with a letter, "To the Editor of the Times" from "Punjabee" concerning an article from the Times for November 1st 1861 in which there was a report of the Indian Intelligence gained from the Bombay Gazette which implied that the Russian government were preparing to occupy "Independent Tartary". The named article also is with this clipping. Dated 23 January 1862.
