Cutting from The Times with a letter, "To the Editor of the Times" from "Punjabee" concerning an article from the Times for November 1st 1861 in which there was a report of the Indian Intelligence gained from the Bombay Gazette which implied that the Russian government were preparing to occupy "Independent Tartary". The named article also is with this clipping. Dated 23 January 1862.

"Autograph Book belonging to Susan Hodgson, Alderley Grange, Wotton under Edge" A leather bound autograph book belonging to Hodgson's wife, Susan, in which are placed certificates, diplomas, academic and personal correspondence, newspaper cuttings and extracts related to Brian Houghton Hodgson's life. Leather binding with metal clasp. The book's binding is broken and some pages are loose. Care must be taken when using this item.

The series consists of 35 letters, mostly from Campbell to Hodgson, mainly ordered according to date, following the sequence of a previous listing.

Letter from Colonel Hardy to Brian Houghton Hodgson to ask Hodgson to attend the India committee of the Society for the purpose of accompanying a deputation to the Secretary of State on the subject of facilitating communications with Central Asia. Handwritten with printed letterhead, 1 side, dated 28 March 1873. Also accompanying envelope with Hodgson's annotations.
