With this letter is a copy of the letter from G. Newman, Director, W. Heffer & Sons Ltd. to W.L. & E.G. Raynes to apologise for the delay in replying to Raynes' letter but they are unable to source binding board and therefore will not be able to undertake the work.

Some of the packages are labelled, but others are not. They were received from Dow & Lester without order and many are in need of urgent repackaging. This cannot be provided by the Press. It was estimated that it would take 2 labourers and Storey 2-3 months to classify, re-arrange and pack the whole stock.

With this letter is a copy of the letter from Nicholson to Raynes, in Storey's hand, in which he asks if the Gibb Memorial Volumes for Turkey had been forwarded to the Foreign Office and whether there had been any notification of their arrival. He also writes concerning the purchase by Dr Arberry of a Persian Manuscript, "Sanglatch" from Heffer. This had come to them via Sir Denison Ross's Library but Arberry had found it to belong to the Trust. Storey believes this an honest mistake from Heffer and asks that Arberry can be reimbursed for the purchase so it can be returned to the Trust.
