Also within the book is a loose sheet between pp.144-145 containing extra notes; a further sheet of notes at page 1 of Part II; a newspaper cutting from the "Naval and Military Gazette" of 10 January 1876 concerning the Ghurkhas between pp. 40-41 of Part II; a newspaper cutting from the Athenaeum of 24 March 1877 concerning a meeting in which it was reported that Hodgson had talked about the broken tribes of Nepal between pp.44-45 of Part II; a printed sheet with an article from The Phoenix - "The Northern Frontagers of China" by Henry H.
