              "List of Buddha Books & drawings, & of Statistics of Nepaul left in Residency in five Boxes, by B.H.Hodgson, Dec 1st 1837." Each box is individually listed and a sixth package also listed. Further notes are added and there is an additional heading which states that the boxes were repackaged in 1844 to take home. There is a note that all his literary and scientific stores are to go, in case of his death, to his father who will dispose of them to the advantage of Hodgson's reputation. Handwritten, 1 piece, 4 sides, 1837-1844.

              This is an index for Gogerly's translation of the Cariyā-piṭaka. The index is writen on a single A4 sheet with the list of verses given on the first page. Author, date and place unknown. The Cariyā-piṭaka is a Theravāda Buddhist scripture incorporated in the Sutta Piṭaka's Khuḍḍaka Nikāya, as the last of fifteen books. It is a short verse work including thirty-five accounts of the Buddha's former lives (similar to Jātaka tales).

              The manuscript is an index of words and subjects from Gogerly's translation of the Vibhaṅga. The manuscript consists of 10 loose double sheets numbered from 1 to 22. Written by an unknown author; date and place unkown. The words and subjects are listed in columns on the first and third pages of each double sheet. The Vibhaṅga is a Theravāda Buddhist scripture included in the Abhidhamma Piṭaka. It is known as an analysis of mind. 32.5cmX21cm.

              This is a letter from a Rev R. Spence Hardy writing to J W Redhouse, Secretary of the RAS, in which he informs the RAS of Gogerly's death and writes; "It is not certain yet what will be dome with Gogerly's collections towards a Pali Dictionary. If I live to return home, I may send it to prepare with additions from other quarters". Handwritten, 4 sides, dated 11 September 1863

              A letter of correspondence from T.W. Arnold addressed to Miss Charlotte Hughes, the Secretary and Librarian at the RAS, concerning the possible identification of Gogerly translations at the India Office. He suggests that Gogerly gave some of his translations to Monsieur Grimblot to bring from Ceylon. Written on October 5, 1907. A folded sheet having an imprinted letterhead 'India Office Whitehall, S.W.' 18.7cmX12cm.
