Further notes are added and there is an additional heading which states that the boxes were repackaged in 1844 to take home. There is a note that all his literary and scientific stores are to go, in case of his death, to his father who will dispose of them to the advantage of Hodgson's reputation. Brian Houghton Hodgson seemed to be a keen compiler of lists, often of his specimens and drawings, and of his donations to the scientific and oriental establishments of his day. These were sometimes needed for transportation or storing of the articles itemised. This series comprises of 20 lists.

A series of four manuscripts providing some insight into Hodgson's research into Buddhism.

The series includes seven different items related to ancient and medieval Sinhalese literature tradition.
