Pencil and ink drawings of the two large exterior columns, or rock cut laths, which flank the entrance into Cave No. 3. The drawings are made after photographs taken by Mr. Johnson. Scale is 4 ft. to an inch.

Ink and pencil drawings of elevations of the exteriors of Cave No. 56, No. 61 and No. 60. Scale is 5 ft. to an inch.

Three extracts taken from earlier sources regarding the Salsette Caves. First are extracts translated from a French Translation of Carsten Niebuhr's 1780 Voyage en Arabic (Arabian Voyage). The second are extracts from a 1847 work by Dr. J Bird. Third, extracts from J. B. 'Selby's' (Seely?) 1825 Wonders of Ellora. And finally, Notes on Kanheri from James Fergusson's 1845 Rock Cut Temples.

A transcription of Fergusson's description of the Ajanta Caves ('Rock Cut Temples') and commentary notes made by A. A. West. Also included are 3 architectural drawings of pillars and a floor plan of Vihara No.11.

A fragment drawing in red ink and pencil over two pages of a circular wall painting from Cave No. 86. Scale is a quarter inch to a foot.

Ink drawings of the frieze above the benched cress in the left changer of the courtyard of Cave No. 75 and of a partial frontal elevation of Cave No. 76, including a brief note on the state of preservation of ornamentation at time of documentation.
