Letter from John Allan, Department of Coins and Medals, British Museum, to Quaritch Wales concerning the inscription Wales had brought to him and that it contains the common Buddhist formula 'Ye dharmā hetuprabhava etc'. He has not identified the first line yet. Typed letter, 1 side, dated 4 March 1939.

Letter from Sydney James Johnstone, Principal, Mineral Resources Department, Imperial Institute, to Quaritch Wales concerning the results from the examination of glass specimens and of one group of the bronze specimens. However, the remaining 14 specimens are still under examination and the results will be sent as soon as possible. Typed letter, 2 pieces, 2 sides, dated 31 May 1939.

Letter from Niranjan Prasad Chakravarti, Government Epigraphist for India, to Quaritch Wales concerning the translation of the inscriptions on the metal discs. The script of the records is South Indian and the language is Sanskrit. He adds that the question for further study is whether these discs were put in the foundation in the same way as the stone tablet or if they belonged to images to which they might have been attached as labels, Typed letter, 2 sides, 2 pages, dated 28 June 1939.
