"An Early Buddhist Civilization in Eastern Siam" by H.G. Quaritch Wales, reprinted from the Journal of Siam Society, XLV:1, April 1967, pamphlet. The pamphlet contains an inserted letter and carbon data report from the Research laboratory, British Museum, to Quaritch Wales concerning dating of specimen BM41 Muang Phet Eastern Siam, 26 June, 1959.

Five sets of correspondence concerning:

• Correspondence related to Quaritch Wales' time in Kedah
• Correspondence with Leonard J. Robbins
• Correspondence concerning the publication of Siamese State Ceremonies
• Correspondence concerning some photographs and a replica of a Siamese lion
• Correspondence with the Department of Fine Arts

The manuscripts are mainly concerned with Hutchinson's work, including 1688 Revolution in Siam: the memoir of Father de Bèze (published in 1968); Foot Soldiers of the Honble Company in Java and Celebes; "Phaulkon's House at Lopburi" (published in 1972); and Constantine Phaulkon (1647-1688). There are other manuscripts by Hutchinson as well as those by other writers, such as, Erik Seidenfaden (1881-1958).

This notebook includes Hutchinson's suggested corrections for Virginia Thompson's Thailand, The New Siam , published in 1941; notes on Adrien Launay's Histoire de la mission de Siam, 1662-1811 , published in 1920; notes relevant to articles published in Journal of the Burma Research Society ; notes about Burma, Malay and other Southeast Asian countries; notes on a letter written to Général Baron on 26 Dec.1682; and writings on anthropometry.

Letter from Curzon Press to Mrs Dorothy C. Wales concerning the copying of Siamese State Ceremonies. Curzon had obtained a copy of the book on loan from SOAS which might be possible to photograph but asked Mrs Wales whether she might request a copy from the Royal Asiatic Society. The letter is incomplete. Typed, 1 side, dated 10 March 1992.
