West Edward William 1824-1905An unbound notebook of notes, sketches and drawings taken by Walter West during his visit to the Kanheri Caves on the 27th and 28th of December 1870. The notebook is comprised of 36 pages, with an additional 12 smaller inserted pages. The notes were taken to complete the information which had previously obtained regrading the facades, columns, pilasters and stūpas. Also included is W. West's travel itinerary and a brief summary of his stay at the Caves.
