The 11th International Oriental Congress was held in Paris in 1897. The papers consist of a printed pamphlet entiteld "The Eleventh International Oriental Congress" By Robert Needham Cust, LL.D.. It is a report of the congress extracted from "Linguistic and Oriental Essays" Series V, pp.993-1012, and was printed by Stephen Austin and Sons, Hertford in 1897.

In 1926, the possibility of an International Congress was raised again. The material in this series consist mainly of correspondence between Émile Senart and Edward S.M. Perowne. They are:

• Letter from Émile Senart to Edward Perowne concerning Senart's discussion with F.W. Thomas and the possible involvement of the Royal Asiatic Society. Handwritten in French, dated 23 October 1926.
• "re Oriental Congress, Note of Interview with Mr Émile Senart at la Ferte Bernard, 2 November 1926" by Edward Perowne concerning Senart's suggestion for the restarting of the Congress of Orientalists. Typed, dated 30 October 1926 [Note, dates do not match].
• "Translation of letter subsequently written by me from Paris to Mr Senart" by Edward Perowne, to clarify the points concerning the forming of an Oriental Congress. Typed, dated 5 November 1926.
• Letter from Émile Senart to Edward Perowne in which he responds to the proposal laid out in Perowne's previous letter. Handwritten, dated 8 November 1926. With this letter is a typed translation made by Perowne. * Translation of a letter from Edward Perowne to Émile Senart in which he writes of his discussions with Mr Thomas and that the Royal Asiatic Society has yet to discuss their views regarding an Oriental Congress and to clarify points raised by Senart. Typed, dated 11 November 1926.
• "Memorandum for a Meeting of the Entente Committee" sent out by F.W. Thomas to announce the meeting called to discuss a notice issued by the Dutch Oriental Society announcing its oriental congress in 1927 and the possibility of reviving the International Congress of Orientalists. Typed, dated 14 December 1926. With this memorandum are typed copies of the correspondence and meetings between Perowne and Senart for 2 November, 5 November, 8 November and 11 November 1926.
• Letter from S.M. Edwardes, Secretary, Royal Asiatic Society, to The Secretary, Oestersch Genootschap in Nederland, to relate the concerns of the Council of the Royal Asiatic Society concerning the procedure of reviving the International Oriental Congress. Typed, undated.

The 21st International Congress of Orientalists was held in Paris in July 1948. Material associated with this Congress is:

The 29th International Congress of Orientalists was held in Paris in July 1973. The material associated with this conference is:

• Letter from Yves Hervouet, Secretary General of 29th Conference, to the Royal Asiatic Society to send the first Information Bulletin of the 29th Congress and ask for the Journal to carry an announcement of the Congress. Typed, undated.
• First Invitation to the 29th International Congress of Orientalists, Paris, 16-22 July 1973. Printed in French and English. With the invitation is a postcard to request a registration form. Dated February-March 1972.
• Second Circular for the 29th Congress giving details of seminars and programme. Printed in French and English, dated October-November 1972.
• Letter from Yves Hervouet, Secretary General of 29th Conference, enclosed with registration forms for the Congres, to ask for delegates to return their registration forms and to give details of arrangements for the Congress. Typed and printed in English and French, undated.
• Letter from Secretary, Royal Asiatic Society, to Miss Smart to give details of the Congress. Typed, dated 29 November 1972.
• Letter from A.D.H. Bivar to Miss Crawford, Secretary, Royal Asiatic Society, to confirm that he will have the drinking horn given by the King of Sweden in his custody during the Congress in Paris. Handwritten, dated 13 July 1973.
• Statement from E.H. S. Simmonds, President, Royal Asiatic Society, to state that the drinking horn will be taken to Paris by Dr A.D.H. Bivar. Typed, dated 15 July 1973.
• Letter from Sun Alliance & London Insurance Group to the Royal Asiatic Society concerning the cover of the drinking horn whilst in transit from London to Paris. Typed, dated 19 July 1973.
• Letter from Secretary, Royal Asiatic Society, to Sun Alliance & London Insurance Group to send the cheque for the premium for the drinking horn. Typed, dated 25 July 1973.

Reprint from the Journal of the American Oriental Society, 1918, of the Agreement between the Société Asiatique and the American Oriental Society with the "Circular Letter to the Members of the American Oriental Society concerning a French Plan for securing closer relations of mutual helpfulness between the Société Asiatique and our own" by Charles R. Lanman, dated 14 March 1918. Two copies of the reprint and a further copy of the circular letter.

Also a letter from Émile Senart to F.W. Thomas, Secretary, Royal Asiatic Society, to report on the Agreement between the Société Asiatique and the American Oriental Society. Typed, 21 June 1918.

Correspondence, reports and printed material regarding the agreement of cooperation made between the Société Asiatique and the Royal Asiatic Society. These are:

• Letter from Émile Senart to Lord Reay, President, Royal Asiatic Society, concerning the possibility of the two societies cooperating. Handwritten in French, dated 19 December 1916.There is also a typed copy of this letter.
• Notes on the meeting of the Société Asiatique and a commission that will be formed. Handwritten on the reverse of an agenda for the Council meeting of 13 February 1917.
• Letter from the Council, Royal Asiatic Society, to Lord Reay to state that the Council at its meeting passed the resolution that they had great sympathy with the desire of Émile Senart and suggest the formation of a small committee to take this further. Handwritten, undated.
• Letter from Émile Senart to thank for the invitation to work towards an agreement between the Societies. Handwritten in French, dated 2 March 1917.
• Letter from Émile Senart to write concerning the forming of a committee to work with the Royal Asiatic Society. Handwritten in French, dated 9 March 1917.

• Statement concerning the possibilities of cooperation. Typed in French, undated.
• Letter from Émile Senart to the President, Royal Asiatic Society, to write concerning the cooperation between the Societies and to submit a first draft of a scheme formulating the precise terms of cooperation. "Autograph Book belonging to Susan Hodgson, Alderley Grange, Wotton under Edge" A leather bound autograph book belonging to Hodgson's wife, Susan, in which are placed certificates, diplomas, academic and personal correspondence, newspaper cuttings and extracts related to Brian Houghton Hodgson's life. Leather binding with metal clasp. The book's binding is broken and some pages are loose. Care must be taken when using this item.

In 2022 the Société Asiatique celebrated its bicentenary. Material connected with this is:

• 'D'un centenaire à l'autre: la Société Asiatique de 1822 à 2022', Programme for an international conference held in honour of the Society's bicentenary from 27-28 January 2022. Computer printed paper, written in French, 4 pieces.
• Medal to celebrate the bicentenary of the Société Asiatique. One side features a rising sun with the words 'Bicentennaire de la Société Asiatique, 1822-2022', and the reverse bears the portraits of Antoine Silvestre de Sacy, Ernest Renan, Émile Senart and Paul Pelliot. The medal is 8 cm in diameter and is housed within a presentation case. The medal was presented to the Royal Asiatic Society by Professor François Déroche on the occasion of his lecture, 22 November 2023, as part of the Royal Asiatic Society's bicentenary celebrations.
