  • Letter from Mary Hutchinson, the Australian National University, to Miss Crawford, Secretary, Royal Asiatic Society, to ask on behalf of Professor Basham the whereabouts of the drinking horn and whether it might be possible for it to be present at the Canberra Congress.   • Letter from Sun Alliance & London Insurance Group to confirm that the drinking horn will be insured whilst in transit to Canberra. Typed, dated 11 December 1970.
  • Letter from Miss Crawford, Secretary, Royal Asiatic Society, to Mary Hutchinson, the Australian National University, to inform that the drinking horn is at the Royal Asiatic society and that Professor E.H.S. Simmonds will be bringing it to the Congress. Typed, dated 14 December 1970.

It was later renamed as the International Congress of Human Sciences in Asia and North Africa and then as the International Congress of Asian and North African Studies. This material covers the interaction of the Royal Asiatic Society with the Congress in the time period 1889 to 1993.
