Four letters to Professor T.W. Rhys Davids, Secretary and Librarian, Royal Asiatic Society, concerning rent and rates of 22 Albemarle Street. Three letters are from Charles Asprey, the fourth from F.F. Arbuthnot.

Letter from Forster Fitzgerald Arbuthnot to T.W. Rhys Davids in which he writes that due to poor health he must give up the management of the Oriental Translation Fund. He hopes the Council of the Society will take it over as a going concern. If the Council agrees to this he will present to them all his own volumes. He then details the progress of several publications.

Arbuthnot, written on Royal Asiatic Society headed notepaper, to confirm that he will donate all of his books and his writing table which are currently in the Society's rooms to the Society in the event of his death. He will also donate the material associated with the Oriental Translation Fund currently housed at Park Street. He also writes that the Council of the Society would be free to deal with them as they see fit.
