Letter from W.E.D. Allen to H. Higgens in which Allen writes that he has finished the bibliography and reworked the genealogical trees since Higgens's visit. He says he will send a carbon copy of Muratoff's drafts for his book on Anglo-Russian relations for Higgens to judge how they can collaborate on them. Dated: 15 March 1967.

Letter from H. Higgens to W.E.D. Allen in which Higgens thanks Allen for his hospitality and promises to return two books he borrowed. He encloses 'The Night Before Larry was Stretched' from 'The Oxford Book of Light Verse'. He offers to send notes on the Hakluyt Society's 'Guide'. He asks if Allen is interested in buying a dictionary by Dahl from the Russian wife of a British diplomat, recently returned from Moscow. Dated: 29 February 1968.

Letter from H. Higgens to W.E.D. Allen in which he thanks for Allen's kindness and hospitality. His return journey had been smooth in which he had met and conversed with a Russian. With the letter is a note on etymology. Dated: 30 June 1968.

Letter from H. Higgens to W.E.D. Allen in which he asks Allen whether he would prefer that Higgens came to stay in October or at Christmas. Higgens asks to be reminded of the American couple who had written about mushrooms. He writes of other publications and includes a German rhyme "Der Werwolf". Dated: 4 July 1968.
