Letter from W.L. Raynes, Clerk to the Trust, to C.A. Storey to inform him that a letter concerning an amended stock holding had not been received and must have been lost or destroyed by enemy action. Barings have agreed to issue a new certificate but require the Trustees' bankers to join in Dr. Nicholson's indemnity. He asks for Storey's signature. He further writes whether Storey could examine some so-called odd parcels at Heffer's warehouse to see what they contain.

Letter from W.L. Raynes, Clerk to the Trust, to C.A. Storey to enclose Luzac's account of sales. He also informs Storey that he is looking for suitable stock in which to invest the Trust's surplus money. He asks if Storey has heard anything of Nicholson as Raynes had heard from his wife that he was going into hospital for a severe operation. A copy of the Luzac account is with the letter.

Letter from W.L. Raynes, Clerk to the Trust, to C.A. Storey to enclose the Form of Discharge for the Borax Debenture Stock Redemption which he asks Storey to sign and return. He also encloses a cheque for the half year salary and disbursements for Storey's signature.

Letter from W.L. Raynes, Clerk to the Trust, to C.A. Storey to ask him to consider the request of the Chairman that Dr A.J. Arberry be elected as an additional trustee due to the absence of Dr Levy from the Country and following the death of Sir Denison Ross. (See also GMT/3/2/2). He also asks for Storey to agree to the cost of printing and binding of Professor's Minorsky's "Safavid Administration".

Letter from W.L. Raynes, Clerk to the Trust, to C.A. Storey to enclose a cheque for the half year salary and disbursements which he asks Storey to sign. He informs that his Brokers have purchased some Guardian Investment Trust Debenture Stock. He also writes that Nicholson seems very frail and therefore asks Storey to sign a cheque for £1000 so Raynes will not have to trouble Nicholson for each separate purchase.

Letter from W.L. Raynes, Clerk to the Trust, to C.A. Storey to enclose a cheque for his signature to meet the purchase of the Redemption Stock. He replies that Professor Nicholson believes the facsimiles made by Fleming are housed with the University Press.

Letter from W.L. Raynes, Clerk to the Trust, to C.A. Storey to inform Storey that it would be advisable to buy some more Redemption Stock. He therefore encloses a cheque for Storey's signature plus the half-yearly account and the cheque to cover this.
