              Letter from Peter Skelton to W.E.D. Allen in which he writes of a forthcoming C.A.S. dinner and discusses Mango's translation of Russian Embassies. He suggests that Allen put forward a proposal for a second volume to the Council of the Hakluyt Society and that the switch to Cambridge University Press has much increased the sales of the Society. He is pleased with Allen's choice of collaborator for Evliya, thanks him for the Russian catalogue and his news on the Arabic globe in Naples. Dated: 19 June 1958.

              Letter from Victor Louis Ménage to W.E.D. Allen with which Ménage sends Allen a copy of the Serbo-Croat Celebi text which Allen had previously requested (copy of this not included in folder). Ménage also writes of his frustrations in trying to obtain photographs from the Turkish authorities though he is trying to give them a boost and priase their efforts at restoration.
